What Does CCE Stand For?

CCE stands for – Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation

Continuous and Composite Evaluation System i.e. CCE was implemented by CBSE to reduce exam stress in students. Under this system, grade is used in place of students’ marks. In which attention is given to educational activities along with career activities. Each semester has two formative and one summative assessment. Apart from this, written test is also taken. Whose paper is produced by schools. Children have the option to choose whether they will appear for the board exams or the school.

CBSE has recommended continuous and comprehensive evaluation of learning. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation consists of two things – Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation.

1) Continuous Assessment

Learning is a continuous process ie it is a continuous process. Therefore, the assessment of learners should also be continuous. The purpose of continuous assessment is that students should be evaluated continuously.

There are three types of continuous assessment –

1. Diagnostic Evaluation

2. Comparative evaluation

3.Creative evaluation

2) Comprehensive Assessment

Continuous assessment evaluates one aspect of the student’s behavior – the cognitive aspect. Comprehensive means -Explanation. Comprehensive assessment assesses the three aspects of the learner’s behavior – cognitive, emotional and functional aspects. Through this assessment, the educational and non-academic aspects of the learners are also evaluated. That is, comprehensive assessment leads to a comprehensive assessment of all aspects of learners. Neither side of the learner is deprived of assessment. To improve the learning of learners, continuous and comprehensive assessment is very important.
